Customers and Friends:
At Clear Mountain Bank, the safety of our customers, team members, and community is our highest priority. With that in mind, on Friday, March 20th, our branch locations began operating in “Limited Lobby Access” status. This means that we will serve customers at our branches through our drive-up facilities, with lobby access available by appointment only.
Additionally, the bank’s branches located inside Kroger supermarkets are temporarily unavailable. Customers of our Kroger branches are asked to utilize our drive-thru facilities at nearby offices in Sabraton and Suncrest. Customers of our Sabraton Kroger office who need to access a safe deposit box will be able to do so by appointment by calling the branch at 304.284.2265.
This is a decision that our team has not taken lightly. While our bank has not experienced any direct impacts from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we must take every precaution to ensure that we can continue to operate our branches as safely as possible. Rest assured, we are still 100% open for business, and we are committed to making your banking experience as safe and convenient as possible.
Drive-thru hours are available at all locations
All drive-thru locations and ATMs are available and ready to serve you. An up-to-date list of hours at all locations is provided at our locations page
Lobby access is available by appointment
For those customers that need to access a lobby to conduct certain types of business, such as meeting with a loan officer or accessing a safe deposit box, we are ready to accommodate those requests on an appointment basis. Simply call the bank in advance to schedule an appointment at the appropriate branch location. We will continue to promote social distancing, sanitation of work areas, hand-washing and other recommended safety protocols when engaging in client appointments.
All banking services remain available
All of our banking services are available, and we’re ready to help you. We’re still making loans, opening new accounts, making mortgage loans, and assisting business clients with commercial loans and business banking services. Our relationship bankers and lending officers are ready to assist you with whatever you need. Also, our branch employees at our Kroger locations will be temporarily moving to the bank’s other nearby locations, which will give us extra capacity to provide drive-thru and lobby appointment services at those offices.
Electronic banking options & ATM access
We’re encouraging customers to use online banking and mobile banking options whenever possible. Our electronic banking channels offer the ability to transfer funds, pay bills, open an account, and even apply for a loan. Additionally, the Clear Mountain Mobile app offers the ability to deposit checks using mobile deposit, make person-to-person payments using Zelle®, and manage your Clear Mountain Bank debit cards.
Clear Mountain Bank also has an extensive ATM network with 24/7 availability. Many of our ATMs accept both cash and check deposits, including our ATM locations at Suncrest, Suncrest Towne Centre Kroger, Patteson Drive Kroger, Reedsville, Kingwood, and White Oaks. In addition to our local branch locations, the bank offers surcharge-free ATMs at every Sheetz® location and at thousands of MoneyPass® locations nationwide.
Customer service by telephone
Our customer service representatives are available to help customers with many banking needs, including activating and using digital banking services, by calling: 304-379-2265. Customer service hours are 7am-7pm Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm on Saturday.
Strength and Stability
Clear Mountain Bank is one of the safest and strongest banks in the country. The decision to close lobbies temporarily is a precautionary step to protect the health and well-being of our customers and team members. Simply put, this is a health-based decision – not a financial decision. Clear Mountain Bank has been serving our communities since 1891 and is widely recognized for financial strength and stability. In fact, we’ve received BauerFinancial’s coveted 5-Star rating for safety and security for 16 consecutive years. We remain very well capitalized at levels that far exceed regulatory requirements.
It is our hope that this temporary move to “Limited Lobby Access” is short-lived, however, the bank’s pandemic response team is closely monitoring the situation and we will only re-open the lobbies when it is safe to do so. During our bank’s 129-year history we’ve strived to be a pillar of strength and support for our customers and our communities, and that will not change. We look forward to serving you as your community bank for many years to come and welcome any questions you may have.
