Clear Mountain Bank’s Hayes Earns Certified Mortgage Banker Designation

Harry Hayes, Vice President of Mortgage Origination at Clear Mountain Bank, has earned the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation through the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), making him the first to earn this designation in the state of West Virginia.
A Certified Mortgage Banker represents a professional standard recognized throughout the real estate finance industry. The CMB designation is awarded to mortgage banking professionals who have more than 5 years of experience in the real estate finance industry. It signifies an individual’s demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and competency in residential real estate finance, and distinguishes professionals for their commitment to excellence and high ethical standards.

Hayes has been with Clear Mountain Bank since 2006. A native of Kingwood, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business management from West Virginia University and is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and holds a Wharton Leadership certificate. He serves on the Preston County Economic Development Authority (PCEDA) board in the area of finance, as well as the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department finance committee and the United Way Emerging Leaders committee and 2020 campaign chair.
